The Role
We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Manager to lead our operation across Victoria and South Australia.
What you will be responsible for?
- Ensure that staff are performing to a high level of productivity
- Through Airline negotiation, provide Sales Department with competitive rates to ensure growth of the department
- Prepare and evaluate reports for department profitability and performance review
- Liaise with the Operations Manager to determine market potential and allocate resources to appropriate market opportunities
- Manage and report on KPI’s within the department
- Ensure that there is a high level of communication with both local and overseas offices and airlines, and that this communication is maintained
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with our internal/external client base
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Manager with freight forwarding experience and the proven ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
This includes:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Relationship management and influencing skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent time management, organisation and attention to detail
- Tech savvy with MS programs (MS Word, Excel etc.)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
