Duties & Responsibilities:
- Tax planning and general advice
- Financial modelling
- Attend client meetings with senior members of your team
- Consult with clients on the best ways to improve their business
- Work collaboratively with clients to utilize innovation and automation
From a compliance point of view, you will play a role in our team to ensure our clients meet compliance and tax obligations, including:
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns including SMSF for all entities across a diverse industry base
- Preparing and lodging BASs, IAS, FBT Returns
- Preparing and assisting clients with other statutory obligations such as payroll tax and Workcover
- Ad hoc duties as required by Partners
Qualifications:
For Junior Accountants
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Australian Business Services & Taxation company
- A degree in Accountancy or related field
- Solid understanding of Australian tax and accounting fundamentals
- Strong experience with Xero, XPM, or MYOB
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Good interpersonal communication skills
For Senior Accountants
- A degree in Accountancy or related field
- 4+ years experience in an Australian Business Services & Taxation company
- Experience working with SMEs in a public practice accounting firm (preferred but not required)
- Exposure to financial modeling engagements including budgeting and cash flow forecasting
- Strong experience with Xero, XPM, or MYOB
- High attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
